fisk

fisk is a genre-fluid DJ, promoter, sound engineer and artist who has worked across club, experimental and bass music for almost a decade. Working with self-recorded samples, she chops, processes and re-samples her material into textured, low-end-driven constructions. Her practice moves between exhibition and stage, merging activism and artistic expression, and is rooted in the DIY.

As a DJ, fisk plays a wide range of music styles and weaves them into her own approach to club and bass music.

She also curates concerts and club nights in Berlin, championing eclectic and forward-thinking sounds while pushing back against the growing commercialisation of underground and organically grown culture and communities.

gega.fisk released their debut album Bass Driven Poetry on 22 March 2026. It is available on Bandcamp.

The name means “wrong” in Tigrinya and “fish” in Swedish, and holds the individual names of gega and fisk. It captures the feeling of being an outsider, out of place in your own environment. Together they share personal experiences as manifestations of their own reality, translated through music and socio-critical poetry.

Their work delivers an illicit message of trauma, rage and healing. Bass-driven sounds carry emotional journeys through odd soundscapes and irregular beats.
